The following is a summary of the new years remarks (for employees) of our representative director, Yukitoshi Yao.
Summary
In addition to the COVID-19 situation, Russia's invasion of Ukraine started last year. This resulted in unforeseen circumstances such as the surge in resource and food prices, as well as the stagnation of logistics and rising costs. Since last fall, the yen has been depreciating rapidly, due in part to the impact of the U.S. monetary policy. In the midst of inflationary trends associated with such economic conditions, our economic activities to date have been ingrained with the idea of a deflationary economy, and the preparation against an inflationary economy has not been done sufficiently. We must convert to a new way of thinking based on inflation, rather than carrying on with our prior ways.
The slogan for this fiscal year is "Grow by ourselves through Ikki Tsukan". "Ikki Tsukan" means being consistent from start to finish. To provide stable, consistent service is the intended meaning. In terms of ARKRAY, it would refer to a system that allows the company to undertake everything from product planning to production, distribution, sales, and after-sales service. In Japan, where the business was founded, this system is already well established. On the other hand, for our overseas branches, we're only half-way there.
In order to make our slogan come to reality, we need to break down the issue of "What should we do now to build a system that enables us to provide our customers around the world with ARKRAY's products and services without delay?". Then classify each issue according to priority and the required time, thinking of solutions on our own or through others, and implementing them with certainty.
There is no end to the challenges to realize "Grow by ourselves through Ikki Tsukan". Many of these issues will be in areas that we have no experiences with, but let us each think independently, cooperate with each other, take on the challenge boldly, and work steadily to solve each problem. In the short term, we will strive to achieve our targets for the current fiscal year, while also achieving steady growth as we evolve into a "Borderless company" that lies ahead.
