Effective for early detection of kidney disease through in-hospital examinations
Vcheck test SDMA" is an in vitro diagnostic test kit that quantitatively measures SDMA concentration in serum or plasma in dogs and cats. With the testing reagent dedicated to the immunoassay measurement device "Vcheck V200", SDMA concentration measurement is made available in hospitals. Similar to humans, kidney function in dogs and cats is difficult to recover once it has declined. Therefore, early detection and early treatment of kidney disease is crucial. SDMA is used as a valuable marker of kidney function because it allows early determination of deterioration in kidney function.
In addition, it is expected to be an item to be combined with markers such as urinalysis and creatinine, that will help improve the efforts against kidney disease by enabling a more accurate grasp of kidney function through a comprehensive evaluation. Since quicker measurement would be possible, it can be introduced as an item for medical examinations and be applied for kidney function screenings when anesthesia is required for surgeries etc.
